Capfield brings Enefit’s new ultra-fast chargers to the parking lots of its shopping centres in Tallinn and Pärnu

Enefit and Capfield have started cooperating to install a total of 18 new public electric car chargers in the parking lots of six Capfield shopping centres in Tallinn and Pärnu. All the chargers will be 320 kW ultra-fast chargers that can recharge enough energy to cover 100 kilometres in just a few minutes.

The new charging stations will be installed next to the Nautica and Lasnamäe Centrum shopping centres, as well as in the parking lots of Lasnamäe Prisma, Lasnamäe Bauhaus, Tondi Selver and Pärnu Maxima XXX belonging to Capfield. These are strategically chosen locations to bring charging even closer to electric car owners – to the places they visit every day.

‘Our aim is to make charging electric cars even more natural and easier than refuelling. Shopping centres, grocery and hardware stores offer a great opportunity to combine charging with everyday activities. This is not only more convenient, but also saves time,’ said Viljar Kont, Head of E-Mobility Solutions at Enefit Estonia.

He noted that as demand grows, there is an increasing need for higher-capacity charging solutions. ‘The 300 kW ultra-fast chargers enable charging in the shortest possible time. This is definitely an advantage, considering the fast pace of people’s lives. We are delighted that in partnership with Capfield we can make life much more convenient for shopping centre customers.’

The new chargers enable simultaneous charging for a total of 36 electric vehicles. The charging stations in Tallinn and Pärnu will be among the highest-capacity charging points in the Enefit Volt network.

‘As owners of shopping centres, we see that customer expectations and needs are constantly changing,’ said Reimo Simsalu, Head of Real Estate and Business Development at Capfield. ‘Electric car chargers are no longer merely an additional service, but a necessary part of the modern shopping centre experience. Together with Enefit, we can offer our customers more convenience through future-oriented infrastructure.’

The installation of chargers will be carried out gradually, with all new stations scheduled to open during 2026.

Enefit Volt is the largest electric car charging network in Estonia and is based on 100% green electricity.
